What Is ADHD?
ADHD has become a really hot topic, lately. I’m hearing about it in YouTube videos, my new psychiatrist has a questionnaire about it, it was the subject of a comedy special I just watched, etc.
ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder) is a kind of neurodivergence, meaning that if you have ADHD, your brain is wired differently than someone who has a neurotypical (or “normal” brain). It can make fitting in (and being productive) really hard and there’s a lot of stigma around it.
ADHD is most often associated with super hyperactive kids, but lately, a lot of adults have been sharing about their struggles with ADHD, as well.
I’m not an expert on ADHD, but you can read all about it, via Cleveland Clinic.
